"Meeting" the Easter Bunny

Easter Dinner I love this one. Lane just woke up for his Sunday nap, Danelle is actually looking at the camera, but not smiling, and Gunnison is looking as sweet as ever!
The Easter Egg hunt. She was squealing with delight at the start, but lost interest fairly quick.

So while Danelle was off feeding the ducks with Nathan and Megan, Lane and I hid the easter eggs around my grandparents front lawn. On the way back, Danelle got excited, thinking she was going to get to actually meet the easter bunny.

Not only that, but the whole time she was finding eggs she kept asking where the Easter Bunny was, and eventually gave up the egg hunt and went inside thinking he was in there (I told her she could have her basket from the bunny after the eggs were found).

Trying not to disappoint her, we dug up some random video of an Easter Bunny at a mall on YouTube to help. Poor girl, but this was the best we could do this year :)

Disneyland-Spring Break!

While out in California for my brothers wedding we were able to go to DISNEYLAND with Megan, Breanne, and Jensa's family.
This was Danelle's first time there and she LOVED it. It's been a few weeks now and she is still talking about the trip. This pirate treasure picture is for Dietrich :) Meeting the princesses was her favorite part. Thankfully it was the only time we had a long line to wait in.

She was not shy at all. She went right up to each princess and starting telling them all kinds of funny stuff about herself.

She made it all the way to fireworks at the end!

Since the Disney trip, Ava and Chase have made it into Danelle's nightly prayers.

She idolizes this girl- her cousin Ava.

Danelle couldn't even see over the wheel-thank goodness for those tracks.

The best ride was the Matterhorn- I need a separate post just for those pictures! :)

Aaron & Amy's Wedding

My brother Aaron married the sweetest girl Amy, March 26th and we were able to go out to California for the wedding. It was such a crazy busy trip (Lane was in Korea for a week and flew back the day before the wedding). It was fun to have everyone together!

1. Smiles so big you can't help but drool: 2. Sleep, sleep and more sleep! Nothing more beautiful than a sleeping baby! Still not sleeping thru the night yet, but he gives me a 5 hour stretch every now and then... maybe tonight will be the night ;) if only.

Amy's Bridal Shower

My Brother is getting married!!!! Can't help but be excited about a growing family. For those of my family members that weren't able to attend Amy's shower a few weeks ago, here are some pics.

CALIFORNIA sunshine!

We spent a week in sunny So. California at my parents house and the weather couldn't have been more perfect, it was just the break I needed! It was sunny and 75 while we were there, and Danelle loved playing outside all day in the backyard. The best was our trip to the beach! Ahhh the sun.Listening to the ocean waves put him right to sleep.
I love that Lane has to go to California for work every so often, so we can tag along in the winter and get a bit of nice weather. It was also a good practice run for when we go out for my brothers wedding in March. The kids traveled great- we start training them young to handle the roadtrips! :)

Baby Blessing

Sunday, January the 16th we had our family and friends come for the baby blessing. It was so nice to be able to have so many people come celebrate our cute baby boy!

Lane smoked a ton of meat the day before (he got a smoker for Christmas) and we had some good ol' Texas BBQ for everyone after church. The kids all had a blast playing together as well. Danelle still talks about "boys and girls coming to her house to play". She thought that was the coolest thing ever!

Ski bunnies (and boarders)

A special shout out to the grandparents for helping with the kids so we could go skiing and snowboarding. I hadn't gone in 2 years and I have really missed it! This is Danelle's first year trying out skiing and so far she loves it. Lucky for her, Lane has enough patience to work with her. Her favorite part is the chairlift- which I was scared of my first time at age 12 :)

We figure if we start her at 3, she'll be ready for the olympics (or youtube) in a few years.

Happy New Year!

Danelle got to go skiing with her dad up at Brighton. She did the "magic carpet" and bunny hill for about 30 mins and was loving it! After that I took her back to my grandparents and Lane stayed & enjoyed the fresh snow with his friend Bryan, his little boy Mack and his dad. This was the night before doing some test runs in the backyard. She told Lane she wanted to do it all by herself!

My sister and her family came down from Idaho and we got to hang out with them for the New Years. The little kids went to see Tangled with my Aunt and they loved all getting to play together.

These crazy kids loved getting to stay up super late. I wish I was as excited to do the same ;)
