Boston

Before leaving the East Coast we made a quick trip up to Boston for 2 days. We had really wanted to visit when we we're living back East, but just never got the chance.

While there we did the basics:

Dinner at one of the oldest resturants in the country: The Union Oyster House and had lobster, clams, lobster ravoli's and clam chowder. All very Boston foods.

We went past some of the many Universities there: Harvard below. The main thing we did was walk the Freedom Trail. They have tons of cool historic/political landmarks all along the trail, which really is a trail that is marked by a red line on the road or sidewalk for 2 miles.

At Boston Common Park- Oldest in the country, and where the trail begins.

Drove around Fenway Park - didn't see a game here, but we did watch Boston play at NY a few days before. The view from part of the Harbor. (side note: you can't visit the Boston Tea Party "site"- they don't know the exact location :) I was pretty bummed.

That wraps up our East Coast trip, and as much as I enjoyed visiting, sadly I don't miss living on the East Coast. Out West still feels like home! But we'll always be happy to take vacations out there!

New York City

After a week of potty training I was ready for an adults only week in NYC and Boston! I knew it was going to be a good trip when I got to fly first class both ways! *(Lane actually got bumped up, but he let me have his seat :) It totally ruined me, flying will never be the same now that I know the difference!

Trip highlights included:

Really good food..

Above was a dinner at Lincoln Center, with music/performances while we ate. We did 2 different food tasting tours around Little Italy, China Town, Chelsea Market, & the Meat packing district.

I was able to talk Lane into going out to some of the best dessert places in NYC, Max Brenner... And Serendipity! Did I mention we did a lot of eating on this trip?
We were sure to hit all the main spots like Central Park...Rockefeller Center Times Square
Empire State Building

We also were able to go to the NY Yankees/ Boston Red Sox Game... in a suite! :)

Dinner at the Central Park Zoo (South Pacific themed) & then a Broadway show- "South Pacific"

We had a great trip! Thankfully (for Lane) I didn't do to much shopping. Being pregnant and not fitting into a whole lot of stuff put the brakes on that activity.
Next, we headed up to Boston and spent 2 days there, so I'll post the Boston pictures soon also!

It's going to be.....

A BOY!
Apprently that last ultrasound picture means that our Dr. is 112% sure it's a boy. I guess Danelle was right all along, she has been calling the baby in my tummy "Baby Ty" ever since we told her. (Ty is the name of the baby boy of our friends in Texas).
Of course we only had girl names that we liked, so I guess we're starting from scratch! We're very excited (mostly to get a break from all the pink/princess that Danelle has all of a sudden grown attached to).
Friday is 25 weeks for me and so far everything has been good. Maybe a little TO good since the baby weight is coming back all to quickly! But I guess you just have to enjoy each pregnancy- never know when it'll be the last!! :) *(that one is for Mom and Jensa ;)

July 4th weekend- Part 1 & 2

Part 1 included fireworks with friends in Logan

She loved cuddling up with Lane this year and say "ohh and wow" at all the fireworks.
She also loved shoving her face with popcorn and treats.Lane as always, a big fan of the watermelon...Part 2 included camping over the weekend with the Anderson's near Jackson Hole, Wy. Lane's drift boat- sitting in the background, was very happy to be up there as well as Danelle.
Danelle's playmates during the trip.

Floating the river, with the dog.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Visit to Boise

One of the first things we did after getting to Utah was head up to visit my sister and her kids in Boise. Danelle is so excited that she has cousins to play with nearby!

My mom drove up with us (after she watched Danelle for me for several days while I unpacked- thanks mom!), and we got to pick strawberries:

She loves to follow Ava around and do what she does...

On the tractor ride... Made the best strawberry freezer jam with all the pounds we picked!

Playing at Chuck E Cheese...

And a nice belly shot after working in the fields all morning...

My sister and I are once again a few weeks apart in our pregnancy, can you guess whose further along ;) ?

6 Year Anniversary

Happy 6th Anniversary to us! We celebrated by spending the weekend in Park City, Utah this year. The times we've done mountain getaways for our anniversary we usually end up with cooler weather- which does makes it nice to enjoy the hot tub and fire!

*sorry for the poor quality pictures We wandered around some of the farmers markets, golfed, enjoyed good food and most of all, just being in the mountains. I guess some things just don't change after a few years of marriage ;)

New House in UTAH

Did I mention that we MOVED?
Please note the mountains in our backyard. A big reason for the move.
Still have to figure out how i'm gonna decorate and hang stuff, but I figured if I didn't get any pictures up soon, I never would! So here's a peak...
This is one of my favorite parts: the lovely kitchen and fun appliances.
I'll try to put up more as we get more settled- but just know we made it safe and sound and my LAST box has just been unpacked!!!

"People Watching" love that song by Jack Johnson!!
