Before leaving the East Coast we made a quick trip up to Boston for 2 days. We had really wanted to visit when we we're living back East, but just never got the chance.
While there we did the basics:
Dinner at one of the oldest resturants in the country: The Union Oyster House and had lobster, clams, lobster ravoli's and clam chowder. All very Boston foods.

We went past some of the many Universities there: Harvard below.

The main thing we did was walk the Freedom Trail. They have tons of cool historic/political landmarks all along the trail, which really is a trail that is marked by a red line on the road or sidewalk for 2 miles.

At Boston Common Park- Oldest in the country, and where the trail begins.

Drove around Fenway Park - didn't see a game here, but we did watch Boston play at NY a few days before.

The view from part of the Harbor.
(side note: you can't visit the Boston Tea Party "site"- they don't know the exact location :) I was pretty bummed.

That wraps up our East Coast trip, and as much as I enjoyed visiting, sadly I don't miss living on the East Coast. Out West still feels like home! But we'll always be happy to take vacations out there!

I wish we'd been able to visit Boston when we came out to see you a few years ago... I guess you'll have to take me with you next time =)
