To celebrate 10 years of marriage Lane and I took a trip to Maui for 10 days. We stayed in a condo on Kaanapali beach the first 5 nights, then spent a night in a condo in Hana, then our last 3 nights we spent on the South end of Maui in Wailea at the Marriott.
I kept a nice little journal of all we did, with pictures on my phone and then after we returned home my phone crashed and I lost everything on my phone :( Luckily we had some pictures on Lane's phone and our camera, but it's still sad to think of all the other good ones I lost! All is well though, we had a fabulous time and here are the pictures to prove it... :)
Sunset at Kamaole Beach Park in Kihei. Coconut's Fish Cafe, Kihei Caffe, and 808 Deli were our favorites over here.
Monokini Crater
Lots of Stand up Paddle boarding while we were there- we brought our own with us!
Big Beach
Our Marriott hotel pool in Wailea
Road to Hana overlook
Hike along the road to Hana.
Old Banyan tree in Lahaina.
We did some snorkeling almost every other day. It was awesome to not have to do special guided tours, you could literally just walk out from the beach by our hotel and see fish, turtles and dolphins! Black Rock was an easy one, and we also liked the south end of Big Beach- lots of turtles there.Cheap disposable underwater cameras are not the best. A Go-Pro camera is on our wish list now :)
Our Condo balcony overlooking Kaanapali in Maui.
Hana Bay
Sunset on top of Haleakala (once Volcano, now just a crater).
Ohe'o Gulch, just past Hana (7 sacred pools)
Beach by Mama's Fish House
Driving the road to Hana
Pipiwai Trail hike is 4-miles round-trip to Waimoku Falls and follows the Pipiwai Stream.
Breakfast on our balcony in Hana.
Breakfast at Kiel Cafe- Banana Macadamia Nut pancakes or french toast with Coconut syrup- YUM!
