Cape Cod & Martha's Vineyard

Lane & I spent a week (no kids!) back East visiting Boston and some of the New England states. Our first stop was the beach! We went to Nauset Beach in Cape Cod. Click the link if you want to see where it's located.

Beautiful beach, beautiful weather, and I got to lay on the sand and catch up on some reading.

Lane did a little body surfing.

We ate several of these while we were out there. Lobster rolls are a big thing out there and basically consist of lobster, some mayo, sometimes 1 or 2 other ingredients, and then you put it on a bun. Soooo good! We made it our mission to try as many of these as possible while there. (7 total :)

The next day Lane got up nice and early and fished at Martha's Vineyard.(I slept in till 10 then did my 10 mile run along the river- training for my half marathon & shopped at H&M, best way to spend a day for both of us).

He loved it and caught a dozen or so pretty big fish.

We took a ferry over to Martha's Vineyard and walked around for the day but the weather was a little rainy so we didn't stay to long on the island.

The towns were really fun to walk around and we found some really good seafood places to eat at.

I think Boston my be one of my new favorite towns- more in the post below!

What a fun trip! I love that area and so fun to go on a trip without kiddos! Good luck with the 1/2 marathon training, so fun!

What half are you training for? If you want to sign up for another one, I'm doing one super bowl sunday in huntington beach. Nothing beats training at altitude and running the half at sea level. Also, what did you do with the fish???

Wow! Love the last 3 posts. The baby pictures are so cute, and I am very jealous of you and your trip! It looks like you had a great time. I love the pictures of Martha's Vineyard, the beach, and the baseball game. I also can't believe you ate a whole lobster, way to go!

"People Watching" love that song by Jack Johnson!!
